Same deal with springs and retainers, pretty standard items. My neighbor has a Blue Print 383 (430 ish HP) in his 67 Chevelle and it has been a flawless motor for the little it has been driven.
I put some 60,000 miles on it before I sold it to my brother in law who is still driving it. The valves we use are made in the US and South America, pretty much the same valves that just about everyone uses. I had an ATK Jeep/AMC 4.0 crate motor that was nothing but flawless. We have used a lot of these heads on engines and have not had any problems with the castings. As of now these are only available with an as cast port and chamber.
On our Bench, these heads do not out flow all the competitors, the high end brands flow better, but we flow better than some of the lower end brands. BluePrint stands behind each crate engine with a 30 month 50,000 mile limited warranty. I would point out that our bench is calibrated with plates, when we test other brands of heads most of the very good higher end brands match up with what the companies that make them claim, so it compares well. If you prefer to install a different part, your engine may not produce the horsepower recorded on your dyno sheet. We wanted to be able to offer a great price for a great set of SBC aluminum cylinder heads, just like we do with our engines. Your BluePrint engine was dyno tested with the parts and specifications listed below. We did see an increase in power levels from other manufacturers to our own heads - which was a bonus as well! This is just the first cylinder head design we have come out with, and others are coming as well but since we have used this head for quite awhile this is the first one to hit our line up. We were using other brands of heads, but decided to design our own so we could make sure that quality, availability etc were always what we were expecting. We use them on several engine configurations we build (BP3834CT1, BP35512CT1 etc) and have for several months (12+).
